Week 3 Introduction to Climate Change and Week 4 Climate Change	Finding out (initial sorting out) Activities 18 to 27 Using background knowledge on weather and climate to explore climate change. Interactive sites. Complete research and delivery of interview as well as review. Do online quizz and activities, student led choice of BOM lesson topics. Print out worksheets for journal. Introduce the concept of the Rap so they may start to collect ideas.
Week 5 Natural Disasters	Finding out Activities 28 to 35 Natural disasters Tornado in a bottle – experiment. Weather or disaster warning persuasive argument.
Week 6 Ecological footprint	Sorting out Activities 36 to 43 Mathematics explicitly taught to provide the skills for the following activity. Ecological footprint exploration and activity. Free Rice quiz site – expand on this concept for location of countries and understanding of environmental and social issues.
Week 7 Energy production	Sorting out Activities 44 to 52 Renewable and non‐renewable energy. Contrast lists for each. Draw basic energy conversion diagram coal to electricity. Make model solar objects. Record process.
Week 8 Energy use	Sorting out Activities 53 to 57 Explore the school environmental or sustainability policy. Discuss environmental issues and create collage. Revisit ecological footprints. Graph weather data collected over eight weeks – discuss and collect.
Week 9 Sustainability	Making connections Activities 58 to 67 Overview of sustainability, review of weather and climate change. Linking climate change and ecological footprint with the bigger picture.
Week 10 Sustainability	Action Activities 68 to 78 Presenting a performance to peer s and review other performances. Looking to the future and positive action.
